Google Chromebook

You know those things we like to call an OS through names like Windows 7, Windows XP, Snow Leopard, Lion? Take a moment to think about what your use of the computer is at this very moment. Are you using it to create complicated graphs, charts, designs, coding? The million dollar answer is the average user uses a computer to get on the internet -that’s it! We’re all living in the “cloud” so to speak. Not the actual Jesus-like cloud you may be thinking of, but the “digital cloud.” You know, chatting on Skype, communicating on Facebook, reading the news, and so on. Gee golly! what would Thomas Edison or Alexander Graham Bell do if they saw all this kind of communication? Coming back to the point of the discussion, let’s take a gander at the description of Chromium OS taken directly from the site and home base for the project.

“Chromium OS is an open-source project that aims to build an operating system that provides a fast, simple, and more secure computing experience for people who spend most of their time on the web.”

Wow that seems crazy, huh? If you think about it, your computer or laptop would be stripped away from all of the annoying business that you put up with on an OS just to get on the Web. Now go get a Chromebook and experience a faster Web.
